I drew this based off a shelf display at my friend’s house. She had made these lovely offset shelves look so refined with pot plants and propagated cuttings in glasses that I took a photo so I could take it home and draw it. It’s been a really well liked image whenever I share it so I thought I should release it as a print.

I love to capture small scenes of quiet beauty in my work. Pot plants and cuttings make the perfect subject for me as they are inherently little and visually distillable but still retain the magic imperfections of nature such as unevenly distributed foliage, tangling branches, variegated leaves and wild, unexpected colours.
These works have been drawn with loose, sometimes wobbly lines, soft edges and inconsistent textures to reflect the irregularity I admire in plants.

Edition of 5 per size. Signed and numbered in pencil.
