HOW IT WORKS

  • getting started

    Send me an email with high-quality photos of you and your partner together and a description of your relationship and your personalities.

    Together we discuss size options, review your photos and decide which shot (or combination of shots) best conveys your relationship.

  • first look

    I create a custom digital illustration using the source photos and your description as inspiration.

    I send this through and you look over it and let me know if any changes are required.

    (Originally I gave myself a cuter, curvier nose but it didn’t feel like me so I decided to redraw it.)

  • The finished piece

    Once we have the portrait looking how you want, I make the final touches send through the finished digital piece for your approval.

    We choose your preferred paper stock and I order the print.

  • The send off

    Your beautiful, archival fine art print is printed and in the post to you within 3 to 4 weeks (after selecting the reference photos)

FAQs

  • As little or as much as you want to share really. Ideally the final piece captures a bit about who you are as a couple. So if you’re open to it I’d like to know just a little bit about your relationship that you would like captured.

    If its a wedding portrait - do you want capture the elegance of the day or your attire?

    Or are you wanting to celebrate the playfulness you share as a couple?

    This may only have a subtle effect on the final result but I will try and take into account the tone that you request and make choices such as pose or expression accordingly.

  • If you’re after a wedding day portrait this should be pretty easy. The great thing about working from wedding images is there’s always lots of gorgeous images to choose from and couples are always looking their best!

    But if you haven’t got wedding or professional photos to share don’t stress. It’s great if you can send me a few decent quality photos with natural lighting, from a couple of different angles or scenes. Ideally with at least one full body image showing the pair of you in poses you would like to be drawn in that can serve as my main reference image.

    Extra photos are great for giving me a sense of your day/you as a couple and the details of your attire in case there’s anything we want to add in that’s not seen in the main reference image.

  • No worries!

    If you want to include pets please provide as best quality images as you are able, in a seated or standing pose from a straight on angle.

    If you can, try and send me photos that feel contextually like they will suit your main reference photos of yourselves.

  • Absolutely!

    The price will naturally increase according to the number of subjects but I can definitely draw group portraits.

  • No problem! Send me a photo of you with the hair/dress/accessory that you want in the portrait and I’ll draw that in instead.

  • For sure! My standard portrait package includes a fine art print and low res file but you’ll need high res so you just need to purchase the extra of a high res file.

    I can help you lay out your invites or I am happy to work with designer of your choosing to make sure the files I send through best suit the project.
